FAQ
Is this AI tattoo generator free?
Yes. Generating designs is free and requires no account.
How does the AI tattoo generator work?
Type a description of your tattoo idea and pick a style. The AI generates a custom design based on your prompt in seconds. You can tweak the prompt and regenerate until you like the result.
Can I take the design to a real tattoo artist?
Yes — that's the point. Download the design and bring it to your artist as a starting concept. A professional artist will refine it for your skin and placement.
What tattoo styles can I generate?
Eight presets: minimalist, traditional American, blackwork, fine line, geometric, watercolor, Japanese irezumi, and dotwork. You can also describe any other style in your prompt.
What image format do I get?
PNG, downloadable with one click. Suitable for printing and sharing with your artist.
Do I need to sign up?
No. Open the page, type your idea, generate. Nothing to install, no account needed.
Can I upload a reference image?
Yes, for your own reference while writing the prompt. The image stays in your browser and is never uploaded to our servers or sent to any AI service — it helps you describe what you want, but the AI only reads your text description.
How do I write a good prompt?
Be specific about three things: subject ("wolf howling at moon"), style ("blackwork"), and placement ("forearm"). Mention line weight ("fine lines" vs "bold outlines") and mood ("dark", "delicate") for better results.
Can I generate multiple variations?
Yes. Change your prompt slightly or hit generate again — each run produces a new variation. Compare a few before picking your favorite.
Who owns the generated design?
The design is generated for you to use as a tattoo concept. Take it to your artist, who will create the final artwork adapted to your body.
